The Label Pre-College Music CH, by the Association of Swiss Music Schools (VMS) and the Conference of Swiss Universities of Music (CSUM), is a quality label for nationally accredited providers of pre-college courses. It aligns with international standards for pre-colleges set by three European umbrella organizations: the “Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen” (AEC), the “European Association for Music in Schools” (EAS), and the “European Music School Union” (EMU). The label defines criteria concerning stakeholders, curriculum, fields of cooperation, quality control, and financing.

Primarily, the Label Pre-College Music CH can be awarded to member institutions of the VMS and the KMHS with a public mandate or associations. Additional criteria are defined for pre-college programs by private institutions not affiliated with VMS or KMHS, as well as pre-colleges integrated in public schools (Sekundarstufe II; see regulations, appendix).

The Application Form must be used to apply for the label. The next application period for certification is from the beginning of June to the end of July 2023.
